The calculator divides a daily focus goal by the length of one focus block and rounds up. Rounding up means the displayed number represents the minimum whole sessions needed to reach the goal.
A 240-minute daily goal with 50-minute blocks requires 5 blocks because 4 blocks provide only 200 minutes. Add breaks separately when planning the workday.
Focus time is not the same as uninterrupted time. Leave room for setup, breaks, communication, and unexpected work, and adjust the block length to the type of task.
